The Dallas Cowboys are set to play in their season finale on Sunday and it is unfortunately a meaningless game for them as far as playoff implications go. This has been the case for a few weeks now.
While nothing can be gained in that sense, the Cowboys can absolutely benefit from certain things in this contest, namely playing time for players down the roster who offer hope for the future. As an example consider that Jerry Jones noted on Tuesday that Jaydon Blue could see some time in this game. The Cowboys would be very well-served to figure out what someone like Blue can give them in 2026 and beyond.
With all of that being said, what do you hope to gain out of the season finale? Perhaps your answer is something entirely different and in no way related to players down the roster getting some snaps with the starters. Maybe you want to see the team win. Who knows.
