The Dallas Cowboys are going to play host to Micah Parsons and his Green Bay Packers teammates on Sunday night. It will be surreal in many ways.
Ultimately it feels like this game is going to be something that we are glad is over with once it has happened. Parsons was traded to Green Bay four weeks ago today and from the moment it happened everyone knew things would reach a boiling point when he faced off against the Cowboys, particularly at AT&T Stadium.
When the Cowboys have had former players come through, whether as visitors or analysts, they have made a tribute video for someof them that has played on the jumbotron. In recent memory Tony Romo, Jason Witten, and Ezekiel Elliott have gotten this treatment.
Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that the Cowboys would not be doing this (he said this respectfully) and Parsons was asked about that on Wednesday. For what it’s worth, Parsons does not seem bothered by the lack of a video.
Parsons was an outstanding player for the Cowboys, but the trade did just happen. On some level it would certainly be strange to have a video so soon after the transaction.
Maybe you disagree, though. Maybe you think the Cowboys should put together a video.
