Trevon Diggs was upset about a local reporter’s tweet during the Cowboys loss to the 49ers.
The Dallas Cowboys lost on Sunday night to the San Francisco 49ers. Sure, the end got a little cute and maybe you thought that a comeback was going to happen. But the Cowboys couldn’t take advantage of a chance to steal one against the team that has owned them for some time, and that they ultimately lost was obviously a very frustrating thing.
It seems that frustration has really set in among Dallas Cowboys players. Immediately following the loss, cornerback Trevon Diggs confronted WFAA’s Mike Leslie after originally entering the locker room. Diggs took issue with a tweet of Leslie’s that he (as in Mike) made during the game.

This interaction came just moments after the loss was official and Diggs seemed to have a pretty firm understanding of what Leslie tweeted. Again, the tweet in question occurred during the game.
Leslie took to Twitter (this whole situation was very meta, ironically enough) to offer some clarity for the interaction and to share the tweet/question that seemed to upset Diggs.
Trevon just came out of the locker room to approach me about this tweet. He said I don’t know football, and I can’t do what he does.
He and I are in agreement about that.
He didn’t offer an answer as to what he was doing on the play, however. https://t.co/WaJJCRkFo5

If you click on the tweet to focus on the one Leslie is quoting, it is a massive gain from 49ers tight end George Kittle. Diggs can be seen at the end offering an effort of sorts at a tackle.
Clearly Diggs felt that Leslie was questioning what he was or was not doing in poor taste, but it is hard to draw anything supremely offensive about what he wrote in the tweet. Overall, this just seems like things with the team reaching a breaking point and it all spilling out in the worst way.
