Social media reacts to a desperate but deserving win for Dalllas
The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants both took the field with a 1-2 record. It was a scrappy game on Thursday Night Football with Dak Prescott keeping his winning streak against the Giants alive. But how did social media react during the game?
The Cowboys held the Giants to a field goal, and the Cowboys offense started the game off with some penalty problems.
Jalen Tolbert with his second penalty of the game. We aren’t at the midway of the first quarter yet. Tolbert was called for pass interference on the pass to the flat to Deuce Vaughn.

That penalty hurt my feelings because seeing Deuce is space for once was nice.

Hunter Luepke is starting to expand his role on offense and getting more of the ball.
Hunter Luepke with a strong grab on a critical third down. He’s continuing to build trust in this offense. How long before he gets a handoff?

Rico Dowdle got the scoring going for Dallas off a good drive.

That 12-play, 75-yard TD drive gives the Cowboys their 1st lead since Week 1.
Dallas up 7-3 as Dak Prescott throws his 28th TD pass against the Giants in his career.
That’s his most against any team.

Micah Parsons was playing like he meant it!
Love seeing the speed of Micah to get there and force the TFL. That’s gotta be an aspect of stopping the run: seal the edge. The #Cowboys were horrific at doing that over the past two games, losing both matchups.
So I love seeing it so far tonight.

Trevon Diggs made an interception that’s called back by a Carl Lawson offside call.
Trevon Diggs’ interception wiped out by a Carl Lawson offside penalty. Of course, Daniel Jones knew he had a free play …

The defense was playing the run much better this week.
mazi is resetting the LOS on almost every run
— John Owning (@JohnOwning) September 27, 2024
Parsons had to leave the field with a possible concussion.
Referee Clay Martin took Micah Parsons off the field after Parsons stayed down for a bit on a tackle. Cowboys still able to force a FG. Cowboys, 7-6. Parsons is in the blue medical tent.

One of the best defensive plays all night came from DeMarvion Overshown.
D-Mo drags him down

Then CeeDee Lamb came up big time to help Dallas increase the lead.

Great job by Deuce Vaughn in pass pro on that touchdown pass. Thats awesome
Great throw from Dak, great catch from CeeDee, great vibes all around.
Cowboys lead 14-6.#DallasCowboys

Halftime stats proved Dak was having himself a game and doing all he could to keep the team alive.

There was some good news.
Micah Parsons is back on the bench, looks like he’s going to be able to return
— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) September 27, 2024
Malik Hooker almost got himself the ball.
Hooker has to catch that pick

We had a Tank showing:

….Mazi Smith is playing well

Missed tackles still haunt the Cowboys defense.
Donovan Wilson has been a disaster this season.

It was this kind of game. Discipline was a huge problem

Andrew Booth had some real struggles tonight and did not look good out there.
Andrew Booth has been replaced by practice squad elevation Amani Oruwariye here in the second half, and the Giants have gotten back-to-back completions for 28 yards throwing his way.
— Nick Harris (@NickHarrisFWST) September 27, 2024
Bad news.
DeMarcus Lawrence is walking to the locker room. #Cowboys
— Patrik [No C] Walker (@VoiceOfTheStar) September 27, 2024
D-Mo did it again!
DeMarvion Overshown saves a touchdown on a swing pass to Wan’Dale Robinson. Closing speed. Giants settle for another FG. Cowboys, 14-12.

Four possessions for the Giants so far

Marshawn Kneeland, cook up.

Fourth quarter became a nail-biter but Daniel Jones struggled to find his receivers.
This is another game where the defense can’t get off the field and the offense isn’t making the most of their possessions. Neither can seem to help the other out.
— Dan Rogers (@DannyPhantom24) September 27, 2024
It is so embarrassing that this is a 2-point game
— Blogging The Boys (@BloggingTheBoys) September 27, 2024
Then Trevon Diggs was out of the game.
With Trevon Diggs leaving the game, the #Cowboys are now down their top THREE boundry cornerbacks.
Daron Bland, Caelen Carson, and Trevon Diggs. Things looking thin in the secondary.

Brandon Aubrey nails through a 40-yard field goal to force the Giants to have to score a touchdown to take the lead in this one.
Cowboys just haven’t been able to pull away. Can the Giants take advantage?

VICTORY!
The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2 and clearly have some issues.

Some post game information.
Micah Parsons said X rays on his left foot/ankle were negative and he will get an MRI Friday. He said after the game he felt good but was limping afterward.
