The Dallas Cowboys were run off their home field by the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. Now they travel to Washington to take on the Commanders on Christmas Day. The Commanders have also been eliminated from the postseason, and like the Cowboys, have a lengthy injury report. As both teams look to finish the season on a high note, here’s what we know so far about the injuries.
Tyler Guyton (ankle) was listed as a DNP on Monday. The team had already announced that Tyler Smith will remain at left tackle for the final two games of the season, even if Guyton is healthy. Therefore, Guyton’s availability will be a storyline to monitor this week. Javonte Williams and Quinnen Williams were limited today with respective neck injuries. DeMarvion Overshown was listed as a DNP and is in the league’s concussion protocol after leaving yesterday’s game. Ryan Flournoy (knee) was limited today after leaving the game with a knee injury. It’s a great news because he has been performing well lately, so it would be encouraging if he can play on Thursday.
For the Commanders, alot of players did not participate Monday. Eddie Goldman (concussion), Javon Kinlaw (rest), Jaylin Lane (ankle), Laremy Tunsil (oblique), and DaRon Payne (back) were cited as DNP today. Also not practicing was Marcus Mariota (right hand/quad). However, Jayden Daniels (left elbow) was limited today.
