DeMarvion Overshown was moving on Thursday.
It is a simple highlight of an interception. Dak Prescott is in the middle of the third practice of training camp for the Dallas Cowboys, fires a pass and Malik Hooker makes an impressive one-handed interception. The Cowboys defense erupts in celebration, and to be fair they should. It was incredible by Hooker.
Matt Eberflus’ defense continues to take the ball away — Malik Hooker grabbing the defense’s third interception of the day (mix of QBs).
Dak Prescott repaid this one with a touchdown throw to George Pickens.

But watch the video again. And then another time. You will start to notice that someone runs into the celebration from behind the endzone. Someone who is wearing a jersey number that no one ever has before in team history. DeMarvion Overshown’s number 0 is seen in the middle of all the action and seen at a very high speed on top of that.
No one is suggesting that we should get all hot and bothered over any training camp highlight of any kind. This time of year is exciting, but it requires patience so that we don’t get out over our skis.
Overshown, for those who don’t remember, happens to be recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL that happened late last year. The idea of him playing at all this season has seemed impossible, but both he and the team have been positive in discussing it. Seeing him move like that adds to the notion that is is indeed possible.
There is a very different thing between running at what doesn’t even look to be full speed and running at full speed while being involved in serious physical action like an NFL game. But this is still exciting to see from Overshown.
